So we always knew it could happen…we just didn’t expect it to happen in the same year, one month apart!
Gelly will have open heart surgery July 11th, to repair a VSD (hole in her heart). She doesn’t have any symptoms (thankfully), at this point, but it is definitely time for the repair.
Witty will have heart surgery, August 8th. That same week, in August of 2008, little Witty was in the hospital recovering from open heart surgery to repair TOF. This time, the procedure has to do with correcting some issues that arise from RAA (right aortic arch…her aorta is routed “mirror image” to that of a “normal” heart). The surgery produces a lot of pain…and Witty does not handle pain well.
So please please pray for our little girls. Please please, remember them in prayers on the days of their surgeries and during the time of their recoveries.
